First, there is now a workflow administration and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system available from the Home Buyer main menu that provides standard customer letters, template marketing letters with an option for sending text messages, and a follow up/ diary forward facility. Home Buyer is now also offering access to conveyancing services from Goldsmith Williams and to general insurance sourcing systems including The Exchange, D & D Homecare Assurance, Select and Protect, Paymentshield, Assureweb and Webline. Thirdly, a 'briefcase' software facility has been added to Home Buyer that allows complete cases to be sent and received between advisers in the field, their office based administration personnel, and their firm’s compliance function. The briefcase system retains all of the case’s interlinked connections, combined with delivering full record keeping and continuity.
Richard Angliss, managing director of Home Buyer Systems, explained: “These latest developments for Home Buyer all reflect our key value of integrating with other good systems and, if there is no system in the market to fill a need, then building it ourselves. In particular, we have built the briefcase software in anticipation of the MGI sector adopting the use of skilled paraplanners, following the lead set by the Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) sector. Good MGI advice and sales people could treble their fee income by hiving off their administrative work to good administration support, and the Home Buyer briefcase can facilitate the easy transfer of whole cases while ensuring that they always go through the necessary compliance checking stages. Further Home Buyer upgrades are in constant development, as the MGI regulated market and its technology needs move rapidly forward.”
