The show will cover all aspects of property, for everyone from first time buyers to seasoned investors, with exhibitors providing expert advice and information on residential developments, mortgages and finance, buying overseas, and commercial investment. There will also be an seminar programme, with advice on a range of topics such as how to spot the next buy-to-let hotspots and buying at auction. The Show will cover overseas and UK property but with a focus on northern opportunities, including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle.
Jason Harris, an advertising manager from Leeds, visited last year’s show: “I’d seen and read a lot about regeneration schemes in the North West and all the trendy apartments that were being built in old industrial areas, but I wanted more information and had a lot of questions to ask before I committed myself to anything. I came along to the show to speak to several developers as well as attending a couple of seminars. The exhibitors offered invaluable advice and were able to answer all my questions and show me clearly what opportunities were open to me.”
Building on the success of last year’s debut Property Investor Show North, the Show also comes hot on the heels of Property Investor and Homebuyer Scotland, held at Glasgow’s SECC last weekend, and the Homebuyer Show, which saw almost 15,000 visitors descend on London’s ExCeL Centre in February.
Nick Clark, Managing Director of the Property Investor and Homebuyer Show North, comments: “We had such a phenomenal response from exhibitors and visitors to last year’s initial northern show that we are returning to Manchester this year with a bigger and better event. Many cities in the north have been experiencing a property boom in recent years and, with the increase in northern-based developers and investors, we felt it was important to provide a show focusing on these areas on their doorstep.”
Exhibitors at this year’s show will include Savills Private Finance, Urban Splash, the National Landlords Association, Linden Homes and numerous overseas specialists such as Florida Countryside.
Seminars will include:
- Property and your pension – Stephen Harper, The Millfield Foundation
- Property tax and how to avoid it – Carl Bailey, Taxcafe.co.uk
- Identifying emerging hotspots – Dominic Farrell, Bewarethesharks.com
- How to get a quicker sale in a more competitive market – Tina Jesson, Homestagers
- The rules of buying overseas – John Howell, John Howell Solicitors
