Its chief financial officer and director of sales were named among 55 women leaders
Specialist short-term lender Hope Capital has proudly announced that its chief financial officer, Kate Cowan (pictured left), and director of sales, Roz Cawood (pictured right), have been named among the Mortgage Introducer Elite Women.
The Elite Women Award, first established in 2022 by Mortgage Introducer, aims to shine a spotlight of women in the industry whose achievements, mentorship, and contributions have created a positive and lasting impact on the sector.
Hope Capital’s Cowan and Cawood are among the 55 women leaders in mortgage who were celebrated in the second edition of the award, which also looks to foster an industry culture that empowers and encourages other women to thrive by challenging stereotypes and promoting diversity and inclusion.

Cowan joined Hope Capital in 2019. Earlier this year, her hard work and accomplishments were recognised, having been promoted to chief financial officer.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have been recognised as an Elite Woman,” Cowan said. “Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, I’ve always aimed to be bold and confident in my ability, while surround myself with trusted advisors who I continue to learn from.
“To have won this award is something I am extremely proud of, and I will use this accolade to provide a platform to help recognise, celebrate and support women in business.”
Cawood, meanwhile, was appointed as director of sales at Hope Capital in 2021, and in her role, uses her extensive experience, knowledge, and successful track record to lead her sales team, devise sales strategies, and implement them to meet the diverse needs of brokers and their clients.
With 78% of the Hope Capital’s senior management team comprising women and 48% of its total workforce represented by females, the lender said it remains dedicated to gender equality and championing women in the workplace.

“To be named as an Elite Woman is an absolute testament to both Kate and Roz’s hard work not only as successful, talented and innovative leaders in their fields, but also their commitment to help break the glass ceiling,” Jonathan Sealey, chief executive at Hope Capital, commented.
“I am unbelievably proud of both their achievements and want to celebrate all of the other Elite Women who have been recognised for their success, leadership, and commitment to championing diversity in the industry this year.”
