Specialist lenders boost sales teams; conveyancer names new manager
Mortgage lenders Hope Capital and Central Trust and conveyancing firm ONP Solicitors have announced appointments aimed at strengthening their teams to support growth ambitions and enhance client services.
Hope Capital, a specialist lender in short-term bridging finance, has restructured its sales team by promoting long-time business development managers (BDMs) Sam Lea (pictured left) and David Weir (pictured center) to national account managers.
With a combined experience of over five years at the firm, Weir and Lea will work closely with head of sales Kim Parker to strengthen broker relationships and support national expansion plans. Weir will manage broker connections across London, the North of England, and Scotland, while Lea will focus on the Midlands, South England, and South Wales.
In addition to these promotions, Hope Capital has opened a new role for an internal business development executive to support the expanding sales team.
Elsewhere, Central Trust, a specialist in secured loans, has appointed Liam Billings (pictured right) as its new BDM.
Billings will be responsible for engaging with brokers across the UK to promote secured loans, homeowner loans, and second charge mortgages. After completing his initial training, he will begin building relationships with brokers, focusing on service delivery and facilitating loan completions.
“Building and maintaining relationships is a crucial part of the business,” Billings said. “I am really excited to get going with this.”
Meanwhile, ONP Solicitors, part of the Movera group, has named Gemma Etheridge (pictured above) as its new conveyancing team manager in Leeds.
With over 20 years of experience in the conveyancing industry, Etheridge will lead an expanding team as ONP looks to enhance its presence in the Leeds region. Her immediate priorities will include recruiting new team members, refining processes, and using technology to streamline administrative tasks to improve client care.
“I’m passionate about the potential of technology, especially AI, to streamline administrative tasks,” Etheridge said. “By doing this, we give our team more time to focus on providing the exceptional service our clients deserve.
“My aims closely align with Movera’s ethos to create a culture where people thrive, and together, we can make the home-moving process smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.”
