Personnel elevations align with the firm's growth strategy
Specialist short-term lender Hope Capital has announced a series of significant promotions within its team to start the new year.
Charlie Gregory, formerly business development manager (BDM), has moved to the role of senior BDM. He will extend support to clients in London and the South, while also contributing more substantially to the strategic direction of the sales team and the overall business.
The underwriting department at Hope Capital has also undergone expansion with the addition of two senior underwriter roles and an additional underwriter position.
Andy Bate, who joined the lender in June 2021, and Ryan Peers, a recent addition in April 2022, have both been promoted to senior underwriters.
Hammad Abbasi has progressed from his role of underwriting coordinator to underwriter, taking on a pivotal role in decision-making processes for applications and advancing deals through to completion.
In line with its growth strategy, the lender made promotions and key hires in 2023, and expressed plans to continue to grow its team significantly in 2024.
“All of these promotions are thoroughly deserved,” Jonathan Sealey (pictured), chief executive at Hope Capital, commented. “Charlie, Andy, and Ryan all know the business inside and out and have shown complete dedication and commitment to their roles. Although Hammad is a more recent appointment, he too has shown a real commitment to the role and company, which is why we have no doubt he is ready to step up to an underwriter position.
“Each promotion will enable us to continue to grow and build even stronger relationships with our brokers, stakeholders, and so forth, as we continue to identify further opportunities for expansion in the market.
“Investing in the team is central to our ethos. Not only have we made a number of promotions in recognition of the hard work and dedication which has been demonstrated, but the decision to grow the team even further is something we’re really passionate about as the new year commences.”
