How are female leaders being supported by one lender?

Specialist lender OSB Group has launched a new leadership course as part of its activities for National Inclusion Week, aiming to support female leaders within the organisation.

The group’s “Excelling in Team Leadership” course is designed for early-career professionals and is offered alongside two existing programmes for mid-level and senior roles. The initiative seeks to help female employees reach their full professional potential.

In addition to the new course, OSB Group is hosting an internal roadshow to celebrate its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts over the past year. The event will highlight the findings of the company’s second internal DEI survey.

As part of National Inclusion Week, OSB Group is also offering TED-style sessions that address topics such as inclusive language, women’s health, mental health awareness, and imposter syndrome. The initiative encourages employees of all backgrounds and genders to share knowledge, support each other, and focus on personal and career development, utilising resources provided by the in-house People Development Team.

“I am delighted to welcome our very first Level 3 cohort who will be developing and learning new management skills over a comprehensive 12-month learning programme,” said Carly Spittle (pictured), head of learning engagement at OSB Group. “This course is aimed at employees at the start of their leadership and management journey, helping us to build the capability of female leaders at every stage in their careers.

“The introduction of this leadership course is another step the group is taking to promote inclusivity as it’s open to all females in the business – including trans colleagues, regardless of seniority and role. By providing the right tools, skills and knowledge, we hope to help our female colleagues prosper both within the business and the wider financial services arena.”
