HTB bolsters sales team with BDM appointment

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has bolstered its specialist mortgages sales team with the appointment of Lee Isherwood (pictured) as business development manager (BDM) for the North East.

Isherwood brings extensive experience in the mortgage industry, having served as a case manager, desk-based BDM, and BDM for notable mortgage lenders – equipping him with the skills to support brokers handling complex buy-to-let cases and to meet the high service standards required by advisers and their clients.

In his new role, Isherwood will focus on maintaining relationships with existing brokers in the North East of England and introducing HTB’s specialist mortgage products to new brokers in the region.

Over the past several months, HTB has made a number of promotions and key appointments as part of its strategy to strengthen its services in specialist mortgage lending.

“We pride ourselves on having the best of the best,” said Andrea Glasgow, sales director of specialist mortgages at Hampshire Trust Bank. “By attracting top talent such as Lee, we’re creating our BDM dream team that does everything in their power to get deals over the line for brokers.

“Lee has bags of experience of doing just that. His passion and hunger to support brokers and his vast local knowledge sets him up to be a fantastic addition to the North East team.”

Commenting on his appointment, Isherwood said the decision to join the specialist bank was an easy one.

“HTB’s strong reputation for local expertise and market-leading service in the North East was a big attraction,” he added.  “I’m based in Sunderland, and I look forward to supporting our local brokers."
