Andrew starts with immediate effect and will report to Matthew Wyles, Nationwide’s distribution director. He will be responsible for building upon and strengthening the group’s reputation amongst intermediaries.
Nationwide said the move was a consolidation of its executive leadership within the division following a review of organisational structure of its intermediary sales division.
Howard, the mutual’s head of corporate accounts, decided to leave the group last Thursday and will work with Andrew until the end of this year to effect an orderly transfer of his responsibilities.
Wyles said: “Paul has done a tremendous job for Nationwide and leaves with our warmest best wishes for the future.”
Andrew said: “Nationwide remains committed to the intermediary market. We have a very strong BDM sales force and corporate account team and look forward to further strengthening the excellent relationships we have with our intermediary partners.”
