The ifs School of Finance will hold an event at the Hubworking Centre in London on 3 September 2008, with the CIOBS reciprocating at the Apex International Hotel, Edinburgh on 11 September 2008.
Karen Warden, head of executive education at the ifs School of Finance said, “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the CIOBS to help firms and individuals ensure they are treating their customers fairly.
“It’s imperative that fair treatment is part of any the culture at any financial services organisation, that products are designed to meet customers’ needs and are targeted appropriately and that advice is clear before, during and after a sale. These seminars will explore precisely how such outcomes can be achieved.”
The seminars will consider the perspectives of all involved in the TCF process i.e. the organisation, the consumer, the regulator and the views of legal experts. The seminars are aimed at middle and senior management with responsibility for TCF implementation in compliance, legal and risk departments as well as in marketing, operations, finance, or HR.
Speakers include Mike O’Hagan, manager, TCF Supervisory & Enforcement Support at the FSA as well as a number of lawyers and practitioners.
This event costs £85 for ifs School of Finance alumni and CIOBS members, £125 for non-members and includes breakfast and refreshments.
