The working title for the qualification is the Certificate in Supervising in a Regulated Environment (CeSRE). Registrations will open from 1 August 2006.
The CeSRE is being largely modeled around parts of the new Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (Adv CeMAPĀ®), with a strong focus on the regulatory aspects of supervision.
The learning objectives include:
- FSA T&C requirements
- Record-keeping requirements
- Competency-based interviewing
- Leadership models
- Motivational theory
Mark Roberts. head of faculty financial regulation at the ifs, said: "There are a number of supervisors who carry responsibility for the advice that their staff give. This qualification seeks to recognize and develop the essential competencies needed for this role. It is also an excellent first step to management for those who wish to accelerate their career."
