The sessions will be held across the country and are free to attend and open to all regardless of whether attendees are members of the Institute or not.
The briefings will explain when and how to apply for Statements of Professional Standing, what counts as eligible gap-fill CPD and the best ways to record and submit it.
The sessions will also include a guide to recording and evidencing structured and un-structured CPD which will become a requirement from 1 January 2013.
Anne Kiem, chief executive of the Institute of Financial Services, said: “The aim of these seminars is to provide further clarity on the steps to be taken prior to January 2013 and the on-going CPD requirements beyond this date.”
The Institute will be holding the free seminars between 14 and 26 September in London, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and Belfast.
