This marks the first time that the ifs, a private higher education provider with Taught-Degree Awarding Powers, and a history dating back over 130 years, will take full-time undergraduate students at its City campus.
Commenting on the ifs’ decision to take full-time students, Martin Day, vice principal, said: “The decision to extend our reach to offer full-time undergraduate provision was a natural step forward for us, following the attainment of Taught-Degree Awarding Powers last year.
“Our many years' experience educating financial professionals gives us an unrivalled understanding of the banking and financial services industry. Many major banks include ifs degrees within their management development programmes, a fact that shows both their relevance and esteem with employers.
“We are proud to be able to incorporate this specialist experience to offer a qualification which we believe will give successful graduates an important edge in an increasingly competitive graduate recruitment market.”
A special open day for the programme will be held at the ifs campus in the City of London on Saturday, 30 October. This will give potential students the chance to learn more about the programme, meet ifs associate lecturers, and also see the modern campus facilities.
