Grants will total £300,000.
Speaking from the CAB reception at the House of Commons, Anne Kiem, head of external affairs at the ifs School of Finance, said: “These grants will help many more people to learn how to save and borrow money more wisely.
"The ifs School of Finance offer qualifications enabling people to do this as there is a great need to equip people in the UK with these skills. The CAB grants should make a difference in equipping even more people with money management skills and we very much hope that their ambition to have financial capability services in all 460 Bureaux by 2010 is realised.
"The ifs School of Finance will always welcome any measures that genuinely help improve the nations financial capability – something we are deeply committed to ourselves. ”
David Harker, chief executive of the CAB, said: “Building financial capability is key to helping people avoid debt and cope with financial matters throughout their lives, improving the lives of many, particularly those facing financial and social exclusion.”
