The Watford-based business – a GE company since 2001 – broke its own previous best performance set in October 2002, by lending comfortably in excess of £300 million.
Commenting, Jonathan Sadler, igroup’s sales & marketing director, said: “In itself, this is a great result. What makes it especially pleasing is that June was also a record month for new business instructions into igroup from our introducer-partners. This means we can be confident of delivering even bigger numbers going forward.”
The news of igroup’s record month came in the same week the Council of Mortgage Lenders published its ‘Largest Mortgage Lenders List 2002’. Based on figures for year-ended 31 December 2002, it confirms igroup as the UK’s 20th biggest lender ranked by total mortgage balances outstanding and the UK’s 16th biggest lender by gross mortgage lending.
