IMB is a provider of specialist mortgages and secured loans to the people denied access to finance from a high street bank or building society.
Peace, 47, has been the company’s director of operations, a role she took less than 12 months ago.
She replaces Dale Knight as MD. Knight is to head the launch of The Professional Mortgage Network, a sister company that is promoting a range of network support services to appointed representatives and Principals.
“I’m delighted to have been asked to lead IMB at such an important period in its development,” commented Peace. “We are gearing up for a major growth throughout the UK. To be leading the company through this exciting phase is tremendous.
“I will continue to build on the strong foundations already laid by Dale and our sales team. I am not looking to make wholesale changes to our business strategy, which is sound. I see my role going forward as helping to steer a ship that is getting bigger and heavier by the day. I believe my organisational skills will be a big factor in ensuring the current and new members of staff meet our ambitious targets by delivering a wide range of mortgage products that continue to meet consumers’ long-term financial needs.”
Outgoing MD, Dale Knight, added: “Wendy is a natural leader and organiser. Her promotion is merited. I am delighted that she has accepted the challenge of leading IMB. The company will be a far stronger business with Wendy at the helm.
“Wendy is a passionate defender of consumer rights and, going forward, I am sure our clients will benefit from the introduction of a greater range of products that meet their financial needs in the longer term. I wish her well in this regard and in converting the huge potential that exists within the business into reality.”
Added Peace: “The face of the UK mortgage industry is changing at a rapid rate of knots. It is my goal to make IMB a major player so that we are not only a leading provider of specialist finance to brokers and IFAs in the Midlands – but nationally as well.”
