Guy will take over the position from IMLA’s current Chairman Tim Dawson, managing director of Mortgage Express on 1 Jan 2006.
Guy Batchelor said: ‘I am delighted with my appointment as the next Chairman for IMLA. With the industry constantly developing and evolving, there are plenty of challenges ahead. I feel very privileged that, at this very exciting time in the mortgage industry, I have the opportunity to bring my many years of experience to such an important position as this.’
Tim Dawson will be stepping down as IMLA Chairman and will retain a seat on IMLA’s Management Committee alongside John Heron, managing director of Paragon Mortgages, and John Maltby, chief executive of Kensington Group plc.
