The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is to run two extra sessions of its Pensions Simplification Update Programme in 2007 due to continuing demand.
Introduced in 2005 to help advisers understand the changes to pensions tax regime in April 2006, over 16,000 people have already completed the Programme.
The CII has confirmed that two further exam sessions are to be offered in January and April 2007.
Assetz urges investors to wait
Assetz has said that British investors hoping to benefit from considerable price falls in the US over recent months should hold off for now.
Assetz indicated that the continued slide of the dollar meant better buying opportunities would arise in the States over the next year. New build prices were down 10 per cent year-on-year last month and the dollar, currently at $1.94 to the pound, could drop to well over $2.00 to the pound over the next 12 months or so.
