It provides advisers with access to the whole of the mortgage market as well as a range of insurance providers. Information can be fed to customer’s computers while discussing the options with them over the phone and they can also see application forms on their own screen as they are being completed by the adviser.
Abbey enhances home

Abbey has improved its home insurance cover by adding a 12-month guarantee on any permanent repairs carried out by approved suppliers when a claim is settled.
The lender has also added cover for any damage caused by forced access by the emergency services to deal with a medical emergency or to prevent insured damage to the home. Improvements have also been made to cover for accidental damage to drains and pipes.
Intrinsic launches multi-tie proposition
Intrinsic has launched its multi-tie proposition with a total of 300 advisers.
It will provide advice on a wide range of products and services including, life, pensions, investment, general insurance and mortgages. The venture is being backed by Friends Provident, HBOS and South African insurer, Sanlam. Kevin Ronaldson, chief executive of Intrinsic, said: “Multi-ties will become the dominant force in the advice market.”
