The Advanced CeMAP ‘Supervising in a Regulated Environment’ (SRE) module has opened for registrations.
The SRE module develops the competencies required by those who are supervising staff working in a regulated environment and covers the principles of management, Training and Competence, team development, and performance management in the regulated sales environment.
Consumer confidence falls
The Nationwide Consumer Confidence Index for September has revealed a weakening of consumer sentiment. The research also revealed a drop in confidence and expectation for the future with the expectations index dropping ten points. Consumer confidence fell by six points to 94 for September. The main index, present situation index and expectations index are now at their lowest recorded levels since Nationwide started measuring consumer confidence in 2004.
Buy-to-let issues outlined
John Heron, managing director of Paragon Mortgages, has given an insight into the buy-to-let market at the second Quorom lunch.He outlined the issues likely to be faced by those involved in the private rental sector (PRS) and what the buy-to-let market could offer in the future. He confirmed that rental properties were becoming much more sought after due to affordability constraints, the decline of first-time buyers and the growing student population.
