Designed specifically for brokers and those working closely with them, it aims to provide answers to questions including: which networks provide the best product range, the most regulation help, the best fees and the least bureaucracy, and which are most likely to be recommended to fellow mortgage professionals.
The session is being held in association with the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) and will feature a presentation by John Heron, managing director of Paragon Mortgages, who will outline details of new research into the pros and cons of joining a network.
It will also include a keynote address by Simon Walker, partner in the financial services division of KPMG, on the future for intermediaries over the next five years.
The minister for housing and planning, Yvette Cooper, will be speaking at the conference along with the chairman of the FSA, Sir Callum McCarthy and the chief executive of Abbey, Francisco Gomez Roldan, who will deliver keynote speeches.
The conference features sessions on extending homeownership, regulation and government intervention, business in a slowing market, product development and new opportunities and niches.
