The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries is hosting its eighth Annual Dinner on 14 June at Plaisterers Hall, in the City of London.
Working within the Directorate of Internal Markets and Services, Jean-Yves Muylle is one of the leading European financial services regulators. He will discuss, among other issues, the directive on Credit Agreements relating to Residential Property and the changes needed to deliver a better mortgage market.
Robert Sinclair, director at AMI, said: "AMI is an organisation that has always prided itself in promoting proactive thinking and debate. We are therefore delighted to welcome Jean-Yves Muylle to provide his thoughts on the EC's intentions on policy areas of key importance to members.
"I am looking forward to hearing first-hand from those responsible for delivering the new directive on Credit Agreements relating to Residential Property. In particular, it will be interesting to hear Jean's thoughts on the role of residential mortgages within broader home ownership, the desired impacts of the directive and the implications for intermediaries and the UK market.
“Jean's observations will undoubtedly provide an interesting insight into the drivers for change."
