Just Mortgages announces new sales director of client services

Broker firm Just Mortgages has promoted Gareth Lowndes (pictured) to the role of sales director of client services, the company announced.

In his new role, Lowndes will develop the client services booking team, engage with advisers, monitor sales targets, and drive revenue and protection sales growth. He will also focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining advisers while ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.

Lowndes has been with Just Mortgages since 2011, previously serving as a divisional sales director. Based in South Wales, he has worked closely with the Darlows estate agency business, advancing from mortgage and protection adviser to financial services director.

According to John Phillips, chief executive of Just Mortgages and Spicerhaart, Lowndes’ promotion underscores Just Mortgages’ commitment to internal growth and development, improving its support structure for employees and clients.

“I fully believe this is one of the most important appointments we’ve ever made, strengthening the tremendous work Jess Brome and the client services team have done to expand our service and grow our business.” Phillips said. “With his skills, knowledge and experience, Gareth is the right man for the job to ensure we are maximising every opportunity, finding the right talent and always delivering that five-star service.

“With the strength of our team and the additions of new people and new technology in the form of Smartr365, there’s no question that client services will play an even bigger role in our operation moving forward. I congratulate Gareth on the new role and look forward to work closely with him in this exciting new chapter in his career.”

Speaking on his appointment, Lowndes said he was excited to be taking on the new role and to be part of the year-on-year growth in Just Mortgages.

“Expanding our client servicing and retentions business is a great opportunity for both clients and brokers alike,” Lowndes stated. “Our enhanced offering is a win for our clients, it allows us to ensure they feel cared for and that they can be confident in achieving the best outcome. Our brokers will be more successful and have greater career options available.

“Customer retention is widely talked about in the industry and along with the support of great technology in Smartr365, we can now grow to another level.”
