The presentation was made at the Kensington offices by Alison Hutchinson, managing director of Kensington Mortgages, to Emily Ward, corporate fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Hutchinson said: “On behalf of the team at Kensington, I would like to take this opportunity to say how delighted we are to be able to give £52,000 to such a worthwhile cause. Macmillan Cancer Relief is our staff’s charity of choice this year and we are thrilled with the amount of money we are able to give. We are looking forward to continuing working with Macmillan Cancer Relief over the rest of the year to raise funds to help people living with cancer.”
Ward said: “I’m delighted to accept this generous donation. Each and every day 739 people in the UK are told they have cancer and the money given by Kensington Mortgages will help us to continue our work providing the practical and emotional support that these people so desperately need.”
