The equity release broker said it had improved the content and functionality of the site, which now offers a separate section dedicated to intermediaries.
Through this section, brokers can refer equity release business through its ‘Key Partnership’ service and access information on the equity release market.
Dean Mirfin, business development director at Key Retirement Solutions, commented: “The amount of business we transact through our website via Key Partnerships has been steadily growing and we have found that consumers are increasingly relying on the web for financial services information. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that we have revamped our website to provide these audiences with more information and functionality than before.”
Much of the improvement has been centred around enhancing the navigation of the site, making it easier for users to find what they want faster. The referral service has also been made simpler for intermediaries to supply business to the firm.
Mirfin added: “We are hoping to do in excess of 5,000 cases this year and the level of business we transact is climbing every month. We anticipate by the end of the year, between 10 and 15 per cent of our business will be coming from other brokers, so it’s important we make it easy for them.”
Kevin Morgan, managing director of Consilium Financial Planning, said: “There is still a fear factor with advisers when it comes to equity release and we shouldn’t be ducking the issue. At the end of the day, brokers should be referring the client to someone who can help them but there is the worry that we will lose the client for other business. We need to be putting the interests of the client first.”
