Advisers can now arrange life cover in an almost totally paperless process, where client information such as medical and direct debit details can be accepted online, unless further medical evidence is required.
In developing the service L&G introduced new underwriting procedures which the insurer expects will allow more than 50 per cent of applications to be accepted without the need for extra medical evidence.
Diane Buckley, IFA e-commerce development director at L&G, said: "We are continuing to work closely with users to develop the service and we are extremely pleased and encouraged with the support the service has already received to date."
