Peter joins the Society's Board, which currently consists of two Executive Directors and seven Non-executive Directors under the leadership of Chairman, Robert Wade.
In his new role, Peter will be responsible for the operations of the Society, including the administration of mortgages, investments, banking, Human Resources, premises and Information Technology.
Peter joined Leeds Building Society in 2001 as General Manager responsible for sales. In 2004, he was promoted to Director of Operations and has been instrumental in the development of the Society's customer service proposition and the implementation of the detailed plans in respect of our merger with Mercantile Building Society.
Commenting on his appointment, Peter said; "Leeds Building Society has built its reputation on providing great value and outstanding service. Our focus on efficiency means that our cost: income ratio of only 44p in 2005 is the most favourable of any building society. We will continue to invest in our excellent staff and technology infrastructure with the aim of making us even easier to deal with and increase the speed of our, already swift, customer service."
