He has over 20 years experience in retail financial services, and operated as the group head of legal at Bradford and Bingley for over 10 years.
Paul’s previous experience also encompasses spells at Forward Trust and Leamington Spa building society, and he has also worked within private practice. The areas Paul specialises in include regulation, commercial law, corporate law and litigation.
In his new role Paul is responsible for providing legal advice to the UK’s fifth largest building society, and managing its in-house legal team.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul said, "In an ever changing regulatory and economic environment, there will be plenty of challenges going forward for financial services. I hope that my 20 years experience in the sector will enable me to mentor the legal team and support the business."
