Jaedon Green, director of product and distribution at Leeds Building Society, has been appointed a non-executive director of Leeds Federated Housing Association.
The association owns and manages around 4,000 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire, while it provides customers with debt advice.
There are plans toquadruple the size of its development programme and the number of new homes it releases annually.
Green (pictured) said:“Leeds Building Society has a long history of supporting affordable housing, so my appointment is another practical example of our commitment to this sector..
“I’m really looking forward to working with the Leeds Federated board as the association continues to deliver on its purpose, providing high quality housing and working with local communities to make neighbourhoods people want to live in.”
Matthew Walker, chief executive of Leeds Federated Housing Association, said: “Jaedon brings a wealth of financial services experience spanning 30 years, working with Bank of England, government policymakers, industry regulators and UK Finance (formerly the Council of Mortgage Lenders), as a subject matter expert on housing issues.“
Green joined Leeds Building Society in February 2013.
