It promotes a manager and recruits a couple more
Legal & General Mortgage Club has strengthened its leadership team with the promotion of Zara Bray (pictured left) to the role of broker and propositions head.
Bray, who has been with Legal & General since 2004, was a key relationship manager in the South prior to the promotion. She also took on roles such as senior service consultant, sales support manager, and regional sales manager.
In her new role, Bray will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with several Legal & General Mortgage Club key account intermediary firms.
The mortgage club also announced the appointment of two new managers – Michelle Westley (pictured right) as propositions manager and Stephen Nobes as key relationship manager.
Westley joins Legal & General from her previous position as head of marketing at Brightstar. She has over 25 years of industry experience in specialist finance. She is expected to leverage her expertise in sales and marketing to review and implement changes in the mortgage club’s propositions – a new position created to give this business area specific attention.
Nobes, meanwhile, joins from Tembo Money, where he formerly served as head of partnerships. He was also head of network and club relationships at Smartr365. In his new role, he is tasked with closely supporting key partners’ individual needs and with seeking out new opportunities by attending networking events.
Both Westley and Nobes will report to Bray, who was looking forward to starting in her new role and working with the newly recruited managers.
“We welcome Michelle and Stephen to our growing team,” Bray said. “Both of them have extensive experience within the mortgage industry, and I have no doubt that they will play a key role in further developing our relationships and proposition across all channels.”
Clare Beardmore, director of Legal & General Mortgage Club, added that with the new appointments, it was evident that they were heavily investing in the future of the mortgage club.
“Legal & General Mortgage Club always values growing talent, both in-house and external, so we can confidently support our broker and lender customers in what’s recently been a challenging market,” Beardmore stated. “We are excited to see these additions boost our ongoing support for brokers.”
