LettingAgent.com combines online technology with traditional property management. It will cost 8 per cent of monthly rental income for full management of the property or 3 per cent for let-only.
Lettingagent.com will organise minor repair work on a landlord’s behalf and assist with ensuring that the property meets all legal requirements including those relating to gas supply, Houses of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) legislation and furnishings.
Tenants can access a free online database that lists rental properties across the UK. Should they rent a property through the site, they will have access to a range of services including a free centralised emergency phone number to call should problems occur and an independent appraisal of the state of a property to ensure there are no disputes over deposits when a tenancy ends.
Lee Grandin, managing director of Landlord Mortgages, commented: “As specialists in the buy-to-let market, we have spoken to many tenants and landlords who have been unhappy with the service provided by traditional high street letting agents. We believe that a new entrant into this area of the market, who can provide people with the service levels they are looking for, is long overdue and have therefore decided to launch www.lettingagent.com.”
