Mark Green, Richard Warner and Stacey Love will join the team, which provides guidance to IFAs advising on tax and estate planning.
Martin Wigginton, wealth director at Legal & General said: “I am delighted to welcome Mark, Richard and Stacey to Legal & General. Their outstanding knowledge of tax and estate planning will enable us to further develop our support services to advisers and deliver greater coverage to IFAs who request technical help to assist with advising clients on inheritance tax management (IHT) questions.
“We continue to see a more aggressive approach by HM Revenue & Customs to tax planning and it is vital that we make people aware of the accepted legitimate routes available to plan effectively around tax, especially inheritance tax.
“As well as telephone and email based support we also provide traditional (written) technical bulletins and face to face support with IFAs in the field. These new appointments further strengthen the technical and business development support we offer to intermediaries.”
Mark Green has been appointed head of tax and estate planning. He joins on 1 October from Punter Southall where he worked in both a client advisory and technical capacity.
Mark is a fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He has 25 years experience in the industry having previously worked for Scottish Equitable, Clerical Medical and the Inland Revenue.
Richard Warner has been appointed as tax and estate planning manager, effective immediately. Rick has worked previously for Integrated Financial Arrangements (Transact platform) as a trust and tax specialist.
At Legal & General he will be working closely with the sales channels to develop business and identify areas where L&G can strengthen its tax and trust based business.
Stacey Love has joined as tax and trust technical consultant from The Fry Group where she had considerable experience in tax and trust matters for both on and offshore clients. Stacey previously worked for major accountancy practices where she gained experience in personal taxation and estate management.
