The online, subscription-based service comprises four different levels of support offering flexible, competitive pricing according to an IFA’s needs, according to L&G. The basic level includes compliance service documentation such as financial promotions guidelines, complaints handling guidance and sales process support. Enhanced levels include online help, remote documentation review and onsite consultancy.
Ben Thompson, director, mortgages at Legal & General, said: “Given the increased focus by brokers to meet their regulatory requirements, compliance can prove to be quite a burden, and a drain on resources. We’ve joined forces with Ernst & Young to create a competitively-priced and exclusive service to help our Directly Authorised Club members meet their regulatory obligations. It makes sense for brokers to outsource this sort of non-core activity and focus on what they do best, which is selling.”
Ernst & Young is offering an early adopter rate to DA Legal & General Mortgage Club members who subscribe to its compliance service by 31 December 2009, saving up to £180 a year.
