Sterling's executive home insurance complements the existing products available from Legal & General Insurance. Applications with a contents sum insured of over £70,000 or rebuilding costs of over £800,000 would typically qualify, as well as those with specified personal possessions over £20,000 or non standard constructed properties. Referrals are passed to Sterling, which will handle all customer service and the fulfilment of policies. Sterling is one of the UK's leading providers of specialist household insurance.
Gary Burchett, managing director of housing at Legal & General said: "Legal & General's GI business arranged the relationship with Sterling and is closely involved in the on-going process. This important partnership with Sterling complements our already strong GI offering. Adding this partnership to our network proposition gives advisers greater earning potential and allows them to give a more comprehensive service to their clients. We plan to add further services to our Network proposition with carefully selected partners this year."
