Linear sets up new homes division

Linear has also signed an exclusive deal with Homes by Skanska to provide mortgage advice to anyone buying a newly built home on Skanska’s very first UK residential site at Seven Acres in Cambridge.

The site which will comprise 128 houses and apartments launched last weekend.

Best known in the UK for its development of 30 St Mary Axe (aka the Gherkin) in the City of London, Skanska has been building homes in the Nordics, Czech Republic and Poland for many years and is now the first new house builder to set up in the UK for ten years.

Homes by Skanska will offer a range of Scandinavian-influenced sustainable homes, which exhibit the most distinctive in functional design.

Linear New Homes has exclusive rights to provide mortgage advice to those wishing to purchase one of Homes by Skanska’s high-quality residential properties.

Linear New Homes also has a number of more seasoned partnerships with developers including Pierson’s, while Helen has a ten year relationship with national developer Miller Homes.

Linear New Homes is also working with a number of regional lenders and, despite its relative infancy, has already secured access to exclusive mortgage deals of up to 95% loan to value for new build.

Linear plans to grow its new homes business over the year, bringing in and training more advisers as required.
