Liz Field joined the Council as interim chief executive in October last year and has played a key role in developing and finalising the FSSC's new strategy, restructuring the organisation and leading it to its successful relicensing by the Government. She is currently working with the rest of her team to deliver an improved sector skills council, instigating the changes that are necessary to meet its objectives.
Liz Field, chief executive, Financial Services Skills Council, said on her appointment, "The industry has made it very clear that we have an important role to play in attracting talent and developing skills to help ensure the UK remains the world's leading financial services centre. Having worked closely with the rest of the team to develop our new skills strategy, I am now looking forward to getting on with delivering a simpler more effective skills system that puts employers' needs at the heart of everything we do."
