The Association, the largest organisation for estate agents in the UK, has made the endorsement following an exhaustive analysis of HIP providers in seeking a supplier with the nationwide resources, systems, technology, experience and support to provide the best low cost, yet fast, service for its members.
Under the agreement LMS will offer Association members an extension of its current HIP service which includes training, instant on line ordering, branding with the user’s own logo and colours and full customer support.
Members will also have the flexibility to use local Home Inspectors, solicitors and conveyancers they already have working relationships with if they choose, in the same way as LMS is working withlenders and brokers.
Dominic Toller, director of marketing and new business at LMS, says: “We are proud and delighted to be appointed the preferred supplier of Home Information Packs to the NAEA.
“LMS is totally committed to providing the very best HIPs services and has spent three years and more than £6 million on developing its systems and resources to meet this challenge.
“It is an enormous endorsement of our capability that the NAEA has chosen LMS to work with it in providing HIPs to its 10,000 members, and we look forward to the Association’s members joining our rapidly growing customer base of brokers, lenders and estate agencies using our Home Information Pack services for their clients.”
NAEA chief executive Peter Bolton King said: “The Government intends to implement Home Information Packs in June next year and our members are looking for guidance on providers.
“As a responsible and forward looking organisation the NAEA has carried out a detailed examination of the main HIP providers, analysing every aspect of their businesses to select only those who can meet our demands for low cost, fast and high quality HIP services and support for our members, wherever they are in the country.
“From our investigation seven providers meet all our criteria, and of those LMS stands above the rest and is, therefore, appointed as our preferred supplier.”
The NAEA’s investigation into HIP providers measured companies against a wide range of criteria including: capability to deliver HIPs and Home Condition Reports across England and Wales, financial strength, experience and expertise in delivering volume transactions, knowledge of the business, robustness of proven systems, nationwide resources, disaster recovery plans, high quality control, support and training services, flexibility and funding options.
