Cheryl, 49, who lives in Thorpe Langton, runs her own human resources consultancy, Gilling Consulting Ltd. She previously served as human resources director at the Budget Group and prior to this at Dimension Data PLC. She is currently a non-executive director for the Budget Group.
Stephen Peete, chief executive of The Loughborough, said: "We are delighted to welcome Cheryl to the Board. Her wealth of experience in human resources gained within the financial services sector will make a valuable contribution as we pursue our mission to 'make a difference' through our people."
Cheryl said: "This is a great opportunity to help make a tangible contribution to the success of the Loughborough. The Society has a sharp customer focus, with a key emphasis on delivering personal service. I believe that the standard of customer service offered in a cross-section of industries is declining and people are fed up dealing with faceless call centres. I look forward to helping make a difference by bringing my experience in human resources to the role. "
