It will grow its franchise adviser numbers by 25 per cent, from the current level of close to 300. However it will be cutting 8 Head Office based mortgage adviser roles as a result of business re-focussing.
Mortgage Advice Bureau will be making additional investment in its Derby Head Office based centralised support that will include lead generation and client retention teams, but with a renewed focus on providing support to franchisees, 8 positions will cease to exist.
While there are plans to re-deploy these staff in other areas of the business, those involved have currently entered a consultation period.
Once this period is up, the Head Office Advice Centre will be renamed the Mortgage Advice Bureau Franchise Support Centre.
Peter Brodnicki, chief executive at Mortgage Advice Bureau, commented: “We have piloted various new Head Office support functions this year which have proved extremely successful.
"As a result we will be making further investment in these areas and it therefore seems logical that we focus our Head Office on supporting our franchisees exclusively. This is a strategic decision that will support our expected strong growth in 2008.”
