One firm, which wishes to remain anonymous, has contacted Mortgage Introducer – News saying Majestic owes it in the region of £3,000, which was due over four months ago. The firm said it had last heard from Majestic at the beginning of this month and will now be looking to take legal action to get the money it is owed by the packager.
The firm also confirmed that Majestic said it was having “cashflow problems”.
Mortgage Introducer Online revealed last week, 9 February, that Majestic, which got into hot water at the 2003 Mortgage Business Expo for having a pole dancer on its stand, had shut up shop and that brokers had been unable to contact Majestic for the previous week.
Mortgage Introducer visited Majestic’s office in Witham, Essex to investigate and found the office deserted; all the curtains were drawn, no lights were on and two cartons of milk had been left outside.
Peter Parsons, managing director of Majestic, was unavailable for comment.
