Following concern from brokers, who contacted Mortgage Introducer to say they have not been able to contact Majestic all week, MI sent a reporter to Majestic’s office in Witham, Essex this afternoon.
Our reporter received no reply when ringing for reception at the offices; all the curtains were drawn, no lights were on and two cartons of milk had been left outside.
Neighbourhood businessman Kevin Wilson, from Key Industrial Barmine Ltd, said that there had been no sign of staff at Majestic in the past few days and crucially that none of the four car park spaces allotted to Majestic had been occupied all week. He said: “They’ve either gone under or moved offices in a hurry.”
Despite repeated attempts Mortgage Introducer has been unable to contact Peter Parsons, managing director at Majestic Mortgage Services.
Mike Fitzgerald, sales director at Brentchase Financial Services, said: “I have been trying to contact Majestic for the past week, as have other brokers. It is quite astonishing and puzzling that we can’t get hold of them. As a business it is odd that they are not answering any phone calls for this long and is very annoying for us brokers.”
