Manor aims to increase the number of brokers it has registered and will offer the members a placement desk facility to help them place difficult/tricky cases.
Cammy Amaira, national sales director at Manor, believes that the Scottish market is very difficult, particularly as there are fewer lenders for the brokers to access.
In addition to the placement desk, Manor is also offering brokers in Scotland access to lenders not currently available to many of them via its distribution arrangements with lenders such as GE Money, Shawbrook Bank and Scottish Building Society via an exclusive offering in conjunction with Grant Property.
Mark Snape, sales director at GE Money, said: “GE has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Manor Mortgages. We are delighted that they have decided to expand their presence in Scotland with the recruitment of more brokers.
“This will mean greater choice for brokers and their customers and will provide a great opportunity for GE to help more customers in Scotland with its specialist lending range.
“Coupled with Manor's established reputation of being a high quality packager, we are looking forward to building even stronger business links with brokers in Scotland via Manor.”
Doug Davidson, director at BM Financial, said: “Manor understands the needs and objectives of a broker and his/her client’s requirements. Their ability to determine where and how to assist place a case, clearly demonstrates their knowledge and experience.
“It is obvious that Manor has a first class relationship with their lending partners and I suspect this is due to their diligence in ensuring brokers get it right. What a refreshing change it was when on asking to assist with a Scottish case, that as opposed to sorry I can't help, or not sure what really happens North of the border, that my enquiry was met with a willingness to help.”
Dave Stephenson, managing director at Manor, added: “This is something that Cammy has been working on for some time and a project that we all buy into very strongly. I believe we can add significant value in this particular area of the market.”
