She brings over two decades of industry experience
Market Harborough Building Society (MHBS) has announced the appointment of Stacey-Leigh Wood (pictured) as its new national account manager.
Wood brings over two decades of experience in the mortgage sector to her role in the society’s mortgage sales team, where she aims to enhance partnerships with mortgage clubs and network partners.
Her career includes significant positions at Coventry Building Society, Aviva, Sesame, and Vida HomeLoans, where she also served as national account manager.
“I’d like to welcome Stacey on board as we respond to the growth of the specialist mortgage market and add to our award-winning mortgage team,” said Iain Kirkpatrick, chief executive of Market Harborough Building Society.
“We recognise the important role that network and club brokers play in securing the right mortgage for clients, and that’s why we’re adding dedicated support to maximise those relationships for all involved – another example of us doing the right thing for our brokers.”

Commenting on her appointment, Wood expressed enthusiasm about joining the team at Market Harborough and helping deliver its ambitious growth plans.
“I’ll be working collaboratively with distribution partners, sharing our specialist lending solutions with more brokers and making it even easier to do business with us,” she said. “It’s great to be back at a mutual building society with values aligned to my own, putting their customers first and giving back to the community with their unique Thrive agenda.”
Meanwhile, Market Harborough also announced the promotion of Christopher Thompson to head of sales, tasked to oversee the lender’s business development managers across the UK.
Both Thompson and Wood will report to Iain Smith, the recently appointed head of mortgage distribution.
