The expo, taking place at the Barbican, will feature Tony Fullbrook, policy and regulatory manager at Barclays, who will run through the changes to first charge mainstream lending; and Paul Darwin, head of intermediary relationships at Skipton Intermediaries.
Darwin said: “With the Mortgage Credit Directive fast approaching, we want to make sure everyone is up to speed with these changes and aware of the impact this may have on their business.
“We feel it’s important that brokers know what our approach will be, and how to deal with the new disclosure documents and manage pipeline business during the run up to the MCD launch.
“This and more will be covered during our seminar.”
Master broker Clever Lending will also be on hand to answer questions from brokers and IFAs about impending changes fresh from announcing that it is well on track for the MCD.
Sonny Gosai, Clever Lending’s sales and operations manager, said: “We are in touch with our broker and lender partners to ensure we put in place all the necessary requirements.
“Our recent survey showed that 71% of brokers aren’t ready for MCD and we are keen to help educate them on their role in working within the new framework and putting the new regulation in place in their businesses.
“It’s also important to look at how MCD will affect the customer journey when applying for loan under the new regime.”
