MBSL brings with them a total of 135 advisers.
Tony Corrigan, managing director at MBSL, said: “We are delighted to be joining AMI. We recognise the important role that AMI plays in supporting mortgage intermediaries.
“Doing business in the UK is becoming ever more complex. AMI membership will help us and our advisers to keep on top of this ever-changing regulatory landscape. AMI provides regular updates on regulatory changes and developments. It also publishes good practice factsheets on key topics to help advisers provide compliant advice.”
Rob Griffiths, associate director of AMI, commented: “MBSL’s decision to join AMI shows the faith that mortgage advisers now place in their trade body. But it is not only our direct information services that benefit our members. AMI lobbies extensively to ensure the regulatory and business environment is beneficial to intermediaries. So joining the Association will be of benefit to the entire industry.”
