The Autumn Statement highlights the "abject failure of the past six years", according to shadow chancellor John McDonnell.
He said the Statement showed the failure of the Conservative government adding that theĀ "the figures speak for themselves".
More taxes, more debt, more borrowing was the theme of the day, McDonnell claimed.
He added: "The verdict could not be clearer - the so-called long-term economic plan has failed.
"We now face Brexit, the greatest economic challenge for a generation, and we face it unprepared."
