A major report by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) - Vulnerable Consumers and Financial Services – highlighted the importance of communicating consumer protection information and activities to ethnic minority consumers.
Mortgage Code lenders and intermediaries registered are obliged to give all customers a copy of the ‘You and Your mortgage’ leaflet at the outset of the mortgage sales process. The leaflet is available in Welsh, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi and Cantonese.
