Overseas mortgages have grown in popularity over the years but they remain highly specialised, which can put advisers off.
However, the firms hope by offering the platform to brokers, more will look to write overseas mortgage business.

Brokers wishing to use the service must register with Conti, which will process the application.
Conti will then keep the user up-to-date as the application proceeds and offer them a completion commission of 30 per cent, which it has claimed averages out at £450.

Simon Chalk, mortgage planner at Mortgage Portfolio Services, said: “There is worry in dealing with the overseas market as many people are unfamiliar with the processes and the way lenders operate. Those only doing a few cases a year it’s better to pass it on to a specialist.”
