The Expo will be held at the G-MEX exhibition centre on 19 and 20 May and organisers Clarion Events expect around 2500 visitors. Clarion’s London show, held at Earls Court last November, was the premier event in the mortgage calendar with more than 5000 visitors.
This is the first year that Clarion has also organised a Northern event, sponsored by Mortgage Finders, the specialist mortgage and financial services marketing company. Exhibitors will include Bank of Scotland, Alliance & Leicester, Platform, Bankhall, Trigold, Mortgages Plc, GMAC and Mortgage 2000. There will also be a highly informative seminar programme focusing on mortgage regulation, organised by the Council of Mortgage Lenders.
Show Director Andy White said: “The Mortgage Business Expo Manchester provides brokers and IFAs with the chance to widen their circle of business contacts and stay on top of changes in the industry. For those brokers looking to join principle companies, the show will also give them a great opportunity to view the options open to them.”
Andrew Robinson, director of mortgage operations at Alliance & Leicester, a major exhibitor at the event, said: "The Mortgage Expo in Manchester provides a fantastic opportunity to promote Alliance & Leicester's full package of benefits to intermediaries in the North of the country. This event provides the ideal opportunity to share exciting developments and help intermediaries grow their business as we move together towards mortgage regulation later this year."
