Mark Mountney, director of Premier Mortgage Management, has committed to donating a proportion of each mortgage completion towards the fund.
He said: “The financial services industry has a trust fund, The Financial Services Charitable Foundation.Why doesn't the mortgage industry?
“If everyone in the industry made a financial commitment based upon the one million or so transactions every year, just think what a difference we could make.”
Chris Cummings, director of AMI, said: “It is terrific to see people in the industry coming up with innovative ways of helping.”
