Mortgage lenders announce key leadership changes

Mortgage lenders Catalyst Property Finance, Beverley Building Society, and Together have all made key leadership changes as they look to drive growth and strengthen their positions in the competitive mortgage sector.

Specialist lender Catalyst Property Finance has appointed Spencer Gale (pictured left) as its new sales director.

Gale brings 24 years of experience in financial services, including 16 years in the specialist mortgage sector, having worked at Quantum Mortgages, Axis Bank UK, and Barclays.

Reporting directly to Catalyst chief executive Chris Fairfax, Gale will focus on building new business relationships, while current sales director James Farge shifts his attention to strengthening existing partnerships.

At Beverley Building Society, Stuart Bryce (pictured centre) has been named head of new business.

With over 20 years of experience as a mortgage broker, Bryce joins from Chorley Building Society, where he led business development. In his new role, Bryce will lead efforts to grow Beverley’s intermediary business, working with a team focused on expanding the society’s mortgage offerings.

Meanwhile, non-bank property lender Together has promoted Chris Adams (pictured right) to chief financial officer.

Adams, who joined the company in 2017, steps up from his role as group finance director and will join Together’s board of directors.

His promotion follows Together’s strong financial results, which included a 14.9% growth in its loan book to £7.4 billion and profits before tax of £200.9 million for the year ending June 2024. The company also raised or refinanced £3.2 billion in funding during the year.
